I have never come across Germain before but seeing her work it is different but she is regarded as one of the most influential women graphic artists working in the digital media. She is a graphic designer and studied to become one in New York and teaching at the same time at the Philadelphia College of Art. Later on she moved to California to open her own graphic studio in Los Angeles called Made in Space, Inc. Her work consists of collage style work which consist in layers of lettering and pictures which is inspired with the Californian modern life style. She did adventure in 1980’s where she came across digital technology because of Apple MacIntosh and Quantel Paintbox would offer design and was one of the first to take advantage of them. Later on has worked as a designer with AOL/Time Warner, Microsoft, RoTo Architects and many more.
