Lauren Child

Lauren Child is an English author/illustrator born 1965. She is best known for the Charlie and Lola picture books and the Clarice Bean series of picture books and novels. Charlie and Lola and Clarice Bean series is a series of picture books which has been successful which has become a children’s TV show. She also won the annual Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association for the year's most "distinguished illustration in a book for children" in 2000 with Charlie and Lola.

 

 



I actually like the style used in the books surprisingly, with simple bold colours and childlike drawings which for young children would love and by putting it into a TV series and bringing the characters to life gives it another dimension and bringing them to life.
