David Carson and Neville Brody

David Carson and Neville Brody

David Carson is an American graphic designer. He is best known for his unique magazine design, and use of experimental typography. He was very influenced by graphic designer of the 1990s. Neville Brody is an English graphic designer, typographer and art director and is known for his work on The Face magazine (1981–1986) and Arena magazine (1987–1990).
These two graphic designers have been a big influence to me as a graphic and I came across that they both have the same sense of style to each other’s work.

They both use typography heavily throughout each other’s work which is very clean and simple and effective to give across a message to the audience, this was a big influence on me because I create pieces of work and art pieces with the use of typography. Bold colours were also use in their work which pops out and grabs your attention. Another technique I am a fan of that they use which is called photo manipulation, photo manipulation  is the application of image editing techniques to photographs in order to create an illusion or deception through digital means. I really like how these two graphic designers create these pieces of work with the use of all these techniques and combine them all together to create one piece of work.
