Michele Gondry grew up influenced by pop music because of his family. At a young age Gondry wanted to be a painter or some type of an inventor however his opportunity came when he went to an art school in Paris to study graphics. Ah he was in school he created a rock band with his mates called Oui-Oui which they released 2 albums until they separated in 1992. Gondry was the drummer and with his artistic skills he directed their video which was influenced by the 60’s and childhood which was successful because it was shown on MTV which is world-wide known for music. Which Bjork saw and asked Michel to create the video 'Human Behaviour' for her. And through a famous partnership this led to commissions from there artists around the world, including Massive Attack and commercials for, Gap, Smirnoff, Air France, Nike, Coca Cola, Adidas, Polaroid and Levi. Which made him the most awarded director for a one-off commercial.
