John Lawrence
Lawrence has a unique style of painting his work where he captures the beauty of the place and the surrounds at that time of the moment with colour and flow of his art pieces. His home place is Ireland where it is source of inspiration but it’s not only Ireland that inspires John’s painting. Regular sojourns to Provence and Southern Italy which through his paintings he shows the wonderful land, sea and cityscapes and snapshots of life captured at that moment. This is probably why he is different to other painters because of his unique style. He does focus in painting scenes such as his recent travels, seascapes, boat and harbours, landscapes, people and life, townscapes and abstract and still life. Everyday images are also included in John's repertoire, such as bustling market stalls laden with fruit or people enjoying a cafĂ© lifestyle, cobbled streets or weathered, paint-scarred boats tethered to harbour side jetties or drawn up onto stony beaches.
