Hi-Res
Hi-Res was
founded in 1999 by Alexandra Jugovic and Florian Schmitt after they moved to
London from Germany. The have a mix media of graphic design, fine art, product design, film and music, where they
eventually decided to combine all these separate disciplines in one medium and
started to experiment with Adobe’s Flash technology. Hi-Res first project, soulbath.com,
garnered worldwide attention, and led to commercial work, most importantly the
website for the film Requiem for a
Dream by director Darren Aronofsky. They work with many big
company’s such as, Diesel, Red Bull, Adidas, PlayStation, BMW, Toyota,
Mitsubishi, IBM and so much more but they intend to stay small and agile in
each studio and have studios in London, New York, Hamburg and Berlin but have
plans to open up more studios across the world. Hi-Res is one of the companies
that I look up to for inspiration with graphics and many other types of mix
media which is a great inspiration for me.
